[Windows] Microsoft Agent Charcter for "Mike" (AT&T Natural Voices)

If anyone has purchased one of the great sounding AT&T Natural Voices and needs a Microsoft Agent character (e.g., for mIRC text-to-speech), here's an msagent for the Mike voice, created using Microsoft Agent Character Editor.

  • I personally find that I really love the UK voice Daniel from Scansoft now Nuance. I think it is the most natural sounding voice I've found. In addition, it's great to also get Chinese voices. I even got a Cantonese voice and a Mandarin voice all purchased from TextAloud. I'm very happy with them because they all sound very realistic and not robotic at all.

  • I've heard good things about the Nuance voices.

  • Found a great utility called Peter's Text To Speech that can control the TTS engine from the command line; for example:

    echo "Merge now?" | "c:\program files\jampal\ptts" -voice "ATT DTNV1.4 Mike16"
