Use HTML To Make Your Own Firefox Sidebar

Did you know that you can use simple HTML to make your own Firefox sidebar? Simply create your (narrow) HTML page, add it as a bookmark, then click Load This Bookmark In Sidebar:



And Presto! Your very own Firefox sidebar:



This works great for bookmarklets, by the way. I've got a bookmarklet for text-to-speech (TTS). Load my sidebar as a Firefox sidebar as described above, select some text, then click TTS -- the text will be read aloud for you. Very cool.
